The Tidewater Grain Co. has revived a long lost heirloom rice strain, in fact it’s THE very first strain of rice ever planted in the Americas dating all the way back to 1685. After being lost from farming since 1910, the Carolina Gold strain of rice is back, and CBC has brewed the first beer to ever use this long lost piece of history
